Job summary

This Operations Manager role oversees transportation service coordination for a group of clients, contracting IC drivers, planning routes, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining profitability.

Ideal candidates have experience with IC relationships, route optimization, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with independent contractors (ICs) and routing in a logistics setting.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients regularly to build relationships and document visits.
• Review on-time delivery and location scans per account.
• Resolve service issues using incident reports and maintain customer reports.
• Manage independent contractor activities and verify capabilities.
• Negotiate contracted services and settlements with ICs.
• Monitor gross margin by account to exceed targets.
