Position Summary

This position provides overall coordination to ensure all company goals are met for a particular operation(s) and client(s). It involves participating in the contracting activities associated with Independent Contractors (ICs) that provide delivery equipment and transport products from client locations to designated destinations as requested by the customer. This is an entry-level position.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Monitor to ensure all routes are covered, IC check-in is complete and communicated to the customer, and that routes run on time.
  • Create routes in accordance with customer requirements. Ensure ICs that accepted dispatch provide the delivery services, and communicate changes to dispatch and ICs as needed.
  • Monitor dispatch board to ensure customer-requested delivery times are being met.
  • Communicate any delays or problems to the customer and dispatch department.
  • Ensure ICs are providing services in the vehicle type requested by the customer.
  • Ensure compliance with IC log-in process and EC-mobile.
  • Work directly with ICs to assist with issues they may encounter while under dispatch.
  • Assist in arranging STAT coverage for customers as needed.
  • Restructure routes as requested by the customer to ensure on-time execution when necessary.
  • Ensure ICs provide contracted delivery services in compliance with customer regulations.
  • Assist with contracting of ICs as needed.
  • Complete daily service reports as required by the customer.
  • Create and process administrative reports and paperwork as directed.
  • Follow up with ICs to ensure their paperwork is up to date.
  • Ensure ICs wear a uniform shirt with a visible ID badge as required by customers for identification and security.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) experience required.
  • Proactive and resourceful; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize competing tasks with deadlines.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean, functional vehicle.
  • Ability to develop and maintain meaningful business relationships with customers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Experience, Education, Certificates, and Licenses:

  • College Degree or a High School Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
Shift and compensation

Shift Days: Monday through Friday

Shift Hours: 8am - 5pm (Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred)

Pay Rate: from $20-$23 per hour (Dependent upon experience level)
