Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Practice Manager to drive growth by cultivating client relationships, expanding account opportunities, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline. This role leads client engagement, qualifies leads, shapes proposals, and supports pursuit strategies across sector priorities.

They will also act as the escalation point for project managers, ensuring on-time delivery within scope, and aligning with client objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, marketing, or business preferred.
• Eight or more years of relevant experience; two+ years in personnel or project management.
• Experience building a sales pipeline and supporting pursuit strategies.
• Experience managing client engagements from initiation through delivery.
• Consulting, professional services, or matrixed environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee practice operations to support client delivery and revenue growth.
• Lead client engagement and expand account opportunities within a region or market segment.
• Assist in generating proposals and determining profitable fee structures.
• Ensure delivery teams meet client objectives and maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Provide leadership, mentor staff, and align resources with project needs.
• Coordinate with sector leadership and practice directors to manage budgets and risks.
