Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Practice Innovation Attorney to drive innovation in litigation practice delivery, knowledge management, and workflow optimization. The role focuses on designing AI-enabled processes, assets, and scalable solutions while collaborating with attorneys and technology teams.

You will lead adoption through training, demonstrations, and pilot programs, translating practice needs into practical innovations that enhance client value and firm efficiency.

Qualifications

• J.D. and a 4-year degree in a relevant field are required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as practicing attorney or in knowledge management, innovation, or legal operations.
• Proven experience with legal technology, generative AI, knowledge management principles, and process improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Practice Innovation liaison for the Litigation PSC, providing strategic advice on innovation and knowledge management matters.
• Develop, prototype, test, refine, maintain, and govern practice-specific knowledge assets and AI-enabled workflows.
• Analyze legal workflows and identify automation and AI enablement opportunities; translate into scalable assets.
• Coordinate with technology and business teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with governance.
• Develop training, workshops, and support materials to drive adoption of knowledge resources and tools.
• Advise attorneys and business professionals on effective use of firm tools and workflows; promote adoption with practical use cases and pilot programs.
• Monitor adoption, feedback, and barriers; adjust training and solution design accordingly.
• Lead innovation, knowledge management, and workflow improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Contribute to client-facing solutions, alternative service delivery models, and other strategic initiatives.
• Measure impact of initiatives and share lessons learned across PSCs and the firm.
