Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks an LIHTC Development Consultant to lead complex 9% and 4% LIHTC developments from feasibility to closing. You will advise clients, manage relationships, and mentor staff while evaluating underwriting assumptions and capital stack options.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of LIHTC experience, with CPA/MBA/JD/MRED preferred. Strong communication skills and multitasking ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Multi-state 9% and 4% LIHTC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, including QAPs and state housing agency processes.
• Experience analyzing risks, assumptions, and structuring alternatives and providing strategic recommendations.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analyses, and capital stack structuring.
• Direct preparation and review of LIHTC applications under QAPs; advise on scoring/positioning.
• Review sources/uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas; advise on equity pricing.
• Act as client contact and coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Mentor staff, provide training, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
