Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP in the United States is seeking a LIHTC Development Consultant to guide affordable housing projects through 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions from feasibility to closing, with minimal supervision and strong client management. You will lead strategy, oversee applications, review financial models, and mentor staff, coordinating with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.

Candidates should have a BA/BS and at least five years of LIHTC experience; CPA/MBA/JD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Multi-state 9% and 4% LIHTC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, QAPs, and housing agency processes.
• Ability to analyze risks, assumptions, and structuring alternatives and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and client management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage in LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analysis, and capital stack structuring.
• Direct preparation and review of LIHTC applications under QAPs and support awards/post-award requirements.
• Review sources and uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas; advise on equity pricing.
• Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies; mentor staff.
