Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a LIHTC Development Consultant to advise affordable housing developers on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions from feasibility through closing. You will manage client relationships, mentor staff, and provide strategic guidance on capital stack structuring and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes project leadership, collaboration with developers, lenders, and agencies, and delivering clear, actionable financial analyses. CPA/MBA/JD and cross-state LIHTC experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, including 9% and 4% transactions.
• Ability to analyze risks, assumptions, and structuring alternatives for clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIHTC development strategy and capital stack structuring.
• Advise on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions.
• Direct preparation and review of LIHTC applications under QAPs.
• Review sources & uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas.
• Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
