Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a LIHTC Development Consultant to guide affordable housing projects from feasibility to closing. You will lead strategy, manage client relationships, and mentor staff while advising on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions.

The role requires deep LIHTC knowledge, strong financial modeling, and the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field.
• At least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Knowledge of 9% and 4% LIHTC, QAPs, and state housing agency processes.
• Ability to analyze risks and provide strategic recommendations to clients.

Responsibilities

• Advise on LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analysis, and capital stack structuring.
• Direct preparation and review of LIHTC applications under QAPs.
• Review sources and uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas.
• Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Mentor staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
