Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a LIHTC Development Consultant to advise affordable housing developers on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions—from feasibility through closing. You’ll apply underwriting judgment, manage client relationships, and mentor staff.

You will lead project strategy, application management, financial modeling, and stakeholder coordination with developers, lenders, and agencies. Strong communication and multi-tasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Preferred CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential.
• Knowledge of LIHTC (9% and 4%), QAPs, and housing agency processes.
• Ability to analyze risks and provide strategic client recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIHTC development strategy, feasibility, and capital stack analysis.
• Direct preparation of LIHTC applications and scoring strategies.
• Review sources and uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas.
• Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Mentor staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
