Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a LIHTC Development Consultant to advise on complex 9% and 4% LIHTC developments from feasibility through closing. You will manage client relationships, lead strategy, and mentor staff in a national practice.

The role requires a strong background in LIHTC transactions, financial modeling, and a collaborative approach with developers, lenders, and agencies. A CPA, MBA, or JD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Preferred CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, including 9% and 4% transactions, QAPs, and state housing agency processes.
• Experience with equity pricing, investor requirements, and tax credit transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on LIHTC development strategy, feasibility, and capital stack structuring.
• Lead LIHTC applications prep and scoring strategies.
• Review sources and uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas.
• Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Provide training and mentor staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
