Job summary

Novogradac seeks a LIHTC Development Consultant to advise affordable housing developers on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions, from feasibility to closing. You will lead strategy, help with applications, model financials, and manage client relationships while mentoring staff.

Requirements include a five-year LIHTC background, strong Excel and communication skills, and relevant credentials. The role offers remote and hybrid options with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field and at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Preferred CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential with multi-state 9% and 4% experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, including 9% and 4% transactions, QAPs, and state housing agency processes.
• Ability to analyze risks and structuring alternatives and provide strategic recommendations.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to communicate complex LIHTC concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Engage in LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analysis, and capital stack structuring.
• Advise on 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions and assist in agency interactions.
• Review sources/uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas.
• Coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Mentor staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
