Job summary

Ideal Option is seeking a Leave + Accommodation Specialist to manage employee leaves of absence and workplace accommodations for a remote team across the United States. The role requires evaluating eligibility, coordinating with payroll and benefits, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.

Location restrictions apply: candidates must reside in AK, AZ, AR, ID, MD, MT, NM, ND, OR, TX, or WA, with pay between $30 and $32 per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA and state leave laws.
• Ability to independently evaluate leave requests and make determinations.
• Experience handling interactive processes for accommodations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with employees and managers.
• Familiarity with HRIS and Microsoft Office suite.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage leaves of absence, including FMLA and state programs.
• Independently review, evaluate, and make leave eligibility determinations.
• Coordinate workplace accommodation requests under ADA and PWFA.
• Review medical certifications for eligibility and requirements.
• Collaborate with payroll and benefits for leave-related pay and updates.
• Assist with developing and improving leave processes and resources.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Support HR audits and documentation requests.
