Job summary

Milestone Retirement Communities is seeking a Leave, Accommodation & Workers' Compensation Specialist to own end-to-end programs across multiple states from a remote United States-based role. You will manage leaves, accommodations, and workers' compensation, coordinating with carriers, meeting state deadlines, and building reporting to support community leaders.

The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years managing leaves of absence and workers' compensation.
• Experience with multi-state compliance (CA, CO, MN, OR, WA etc.).
• Strong communication and analytical skills with ability to build trend reports.

Responsibilities

• Own leave of absence, accommodation, and workers' compensation programs across all operating states.
• Manage daily caseload: intake, notices, certifications, and settlements; coordinate with carriers/TPAs.
• Ensure OSHA/recordkeeping and state deadlines; prepare files for hearings/renewals.
• Lead interactive processes for accommodations; collaborate with payroll and HRIS for accurate records.
• Develop reports and dashboards for leaders; provide training on leave and injury processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance across remote operations.
