Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting seeks a Lead System Integrator – Critical Infrastructure to lead startup, commissioning and closeout of large-scale BAS/EPMS and HVAC controls projects. The role collaborates with design engineers, contractors, vendors, and client staff to ensure proper operation and acceptance.

The ideal candidate brings PLC/SCADA experience, team leadership, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach while coordinating tasks in a remote-capable environment across Texas locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Two years of experience with hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
• Minimum of five years of additional experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure ideally in PLC and SCADA implementations.
• Must be able to obtain NFPA70E and OSHA training as required.
• Must live in or relocate to Texas.

Responsibilities

• Startup and commissioning of BAS/EPMS/HVAC controls systems.
• Lead teams of up to six System Integrators through verification processes.
• Coordinate with design engineers, contractors, vendors and client staff.
• Analyze system operation and verify compliance with contract scope.
• Provide QA/QC and documentation deliverables.
