Job summary
Smart Tech Contracting LLC in Texas seeks a Lead System Integrator – Critical Infrastructure to guide large-scale building automation projects from design through startup. You will lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and verification with PLC/SCADA platforms, coordinating engineers, contractors and client staff to ensure system acceptance.
The role requires advanced knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems, plus experience with ControlLogix/SCADA (Ignition) and a collaborative, remote-friendly
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
- Two years hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
- Minimum of five years of additional experience in PLC/SCADA installations.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-functional and functional testing of BAS/EPMS systems with PLC/SCADA platforms.
- Troubleshoot BAS/EPMS equipment, IO, instrumentation and networks.
- Coordinate commissioning with external stakeholders and ensure contract scope.
- Oversee installation by electrical subcontractors; manage up to six technicians.
- Document as-built shop drawings and ensure customer acceptance.
