Job summary

SmartTech Contracting LLC is seeking a Lead System Integrator – Critical Infrastructure in Texas to guide large BAS/EPMS projects through startup, commissioning and closeout. You will lead up to six engineers and coordinate with design teams, contractors and clients to ensure successful delivery.

Ideal candidates have deep PLC/SCADA experience (Allen-Bradley, Ignition), electrical knowledge, and a proven track record in critical environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline required.
Two years of hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure required.
Minimum of five years of experience with installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure, ideally PLC and SCADA implementations.
Experience leading small teams in testing and troubleshooting of controls systems.
Ability to work in a remote environment with strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

Lead startup, commissioning and closeout of BAS / EPMS / HVAC controls systems.
Coordinate with design engineers, contractors, DSI, vendors and client staff to ensure system operation and acceptance.
Oversee installation efforts of electrical subcontractors and manage teams through L2/L3 verification.
Provide regular project reporting and maintain documentation for issues and scope.
Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and workflows.
