The role includes supervising a team of coders and providing technical support on coding processes. Qualified candidates hold RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC credentials and have 2+ years of experience at a VA medical center or large hospital.

Qualifications

• Active credential must be maintained at hire.
• Minimum 2 years coding experience at a VA medical center or large tertiary hospital.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRGs, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding.
• Experience with Oracle Health coding workflows.
• Formal training in anatomy, medical terminology, pathophysiology, and reimbursement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of medical coders and supervise coding workload.
• Coordinate daily workflow, assign work, monitor performance.
• Perform internal quality reviews and provide feedback and training to team members.
