Qualifications

• Active credential must be maintained at hire.
• Minimum 2 years coding experience at a VA medical center or large tertiary hospital.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRGs, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding.
• Experience with Oracle Health coding workflows.
• Formal training in anatomy, medical terminology, pathophysiology, and reimbursement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry a coding workload in specialty areas while supervising a team of coders
• Coordinate daily workflow, distributing assignments and monitoring performance standards
• Perform internal quality reviews and provide feedback and training to team members

Required Qualifications

• Active credential: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC, maintained at hire
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience at a comparable VA medical center or large tertiary hospital
