Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking an Inpatient/Outpatient MRT Coder Lead for VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland. You will perform and review medical coding while guiding the coding team, resolving complex questions, and supporting supervisors.

The role requires US citizenship, AHIMA/AAPC credential, 2+ years of VA-level coding, and proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, E/M. Remote work via VA VPN is allowed; standard hours Mon-Fri 6:00-18:00.

Qualifications

• Requires AHIMA or AAPC credential and 2+ years of experience in VA-level coding.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, E/M coding and provider queries.
• Experience with coding workflows and HIPAA/data-security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient coding as assigned.
• Provide guidance on ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding.
• Monitor queues, productivity, and coding accuracy.
• Prepare coding reports and trends.
• Train coding personnel and communicate updates.
• Assist with denials and audit findings.
• Support supervisor and QA with performance.
• Use VA systems as required.
• Protect patient information per HIPAA and VA requirements.
