As Lead, you will interact with management, ensure quality and productivity, and provide onboarding and training to new staff, maintaining HIPAA/HITECH compliance and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• 2+ years in a medical records department or similar setting; medical terminology required.
• Experience with FMLA and disability form completion preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated documentation and communication skills.
• Strong computer software experience: Word & Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
• Must type 50 wpm.
• Willing to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Self-motivated, team player with proven customer satisfaction skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork per guidelines.
• Communicate with patients and physician coordinators in an upbeat, patient-centered attitude.
• Process medical record requests with HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
• Complete FMLA/Disability forms using standard responses for the specialty.
• Enter data accurately into the secure processing platform and post-payment within turnaround times.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Provide onboarding and training to new employees as required.
• Produce periodic reporting as requested.
• Provide care to patients and patient representatives.
• Comply with HIPAA, state/federal regulations and labor laws.
• Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Provide backup support for Forms, Release of Information, and audit teams as needed.
