Sharecare is seeking a Lead Specialist to manage FMLA and Short Term Disability paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for patients and clients. The role focuses on aligning with company values and delivering high-quality service.

The lead will interact with management, provide training, generate reports, and maintain HIPAA compliance across processes while upholding data integrity and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required; degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in a medical records department or similar setting with medical terminology.
• Experience with FMLA and disability form completion preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated documentation and communication skills.
• Strong computer software experience: Word & Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills; able to multi-task.
• Typing 50 wpm.
• Willing to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Self-motivated, team player with proven customer satisfaction skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Processes FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork per guidelines.
• Communicates with patients and coordinators in a patient-centered manner.
• Handles medical record requests with HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
• Completes FMLA/Disability forms using standard responses for the specialty.
• Data-enters forms into secure processing platform and tracks turnaround times.
• Maintains professional relationships with clients.
• Provides onboarding and training to new employees as required.
• Produces periodic reports as requested.
• Provides attention and care to patients and representatives.
• Complies with HIPAA/state/federal regulations and labor laws.
• Handles confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Supports Forms, Release of Information and audit teams as needed.
