Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its civil construction team and seeks a Lead Estimator to develop detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes. The role is remote and may require EST or CST alignment plus travel as needed.

The ideal candidate has self-perform heavy civil estimating experience, familiarity with Bid2Win/HCSS, and the ability to read complex contract documents. A bachelor's in construction management or civil engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Field experience in self-perform civil infrastructure including earthwork and utilities.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Must be able to obtain required clearance levels for military installations if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates with crew assemblies and production rates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Furnish accurate quantity takeoff information for detailed material lists and total construction costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best-value partnerships.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate risks and plan mitigations.
• Collaborate with in-house field and office professionals to prepare estimates.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews to meet submission deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews with project team, designers, and subcontractors; vet pricing as needed.
• Interact with Operations post-award to discuss alternates, options, and site conditions.
