Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for its civil construction division. This remote role requires EST or CST availability with occasional travel. The candidate will prepare detailed self-perform and subcontractor estimates for heavy civil projects based on plans, specs, and scopes of work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Experience with spreadsheets and CPM scheduling.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as Bid2Win and HCSS Heavy Bid.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates.
• Provide clear quantity takeoffs and a detailed materials list.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Assess risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to prepare estimates.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure scope coverage.
• Coordinate with operations post-award on alternates and site conditions.
