Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our civil construction team. This remote role requires EST/CST alignment and occasional travel; you will prepare detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work, focusing on self-perform heavy civil work.

You will develop quantity takeoffs, source and analyze subcontractor bids, assess risks, and coordinate with field and office staff to meet submission deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Field experience in self-perform civil infrastructure work.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs.
• Must obtain appropriate clearance for military installations.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
• Furnish detailed quantity takeoffs for materials and total costs.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify and evaluate risks, and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals to prepare estimates.
• Meet milestones to allow for reviews and re-calibration for deadlines.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure scope coverage.
• Interact with operations post-award for alternatives and site conditions.
