Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its Civil Construction Business Line and seeks a Lead Estimator with strong self-perform experience to develop detailed estimates from plans, specs and scopes of work. The role requires collaboration with field and office teams, and periodic travel for site assessments and bid reviews.

A bachelor’s degree in CM or civil eng is required, with federal project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes of work is required.
• Experience with federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, scopes of work, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope and mix.
• Provide quantity takeoffs and a detailed materials list to assess costs.
• Source and analyze subcontractor/vendor quotes to determine best-value partnerships.
• Identify risks and develop action plans to address them.
• Collaborate with field and office teams during estimate preparation.
• Meet milestone reviews to ensure timely submission and calibration.
