Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our growing Civil Construction Business Line. You will develop detailed estimates for heavy civil projects based on plans, specifications, and scopes of work, with a focus on self-perform capabilities.

You will collaborate with field and office teams to ensure timely, accurate bids, source subcontractor quotes, and manage risk throughout the estimation process. Travel may be required and the role is remote with EST/CST coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in self-perform heavy civil cost estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Proficiency with CPM scheduling and estimating software (Bid2Win, HCSS).

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil estimates including crew assemblies and production rates.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans with project team.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals on each estimate.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Support constructability reviews with designers and subcontractors.
