Job summary

Trellix is seeking a Junior Solutions Engineer to support commercial and enterprise sales by delivering technical demonstrations and managing proofs-of-value to win opportunities. You will discover customer requirements, map security use cases, present solutions, and assist with RFIs/RFPs, POCs, and BOM alignment while collaborating with Account Executives, Support, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in cybersecurity, presales support, solutions engineering, or related roles.
• Foundational knowledge in cloud security, data protection, network security, or container security.
• Introductory or intermediate certifications (e.g., Security+, CCNA, AWS/Azure Fundamentals).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Attention to detail, with ability to capture technical requirements and assist BOM creation.
• Growth mindset with curiosity and coachability to expand cybersecurity/presales skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales reps and senior engineers during client calls to qualify technical requirements and present solution capabilities.
• Discover customer business needs, map security challenges, and align them with use cases.
• Deliver clear technical demonstrations and assist in proposing solutions to stakeholders.
• Contribute to RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires with presales guidance.
• Assist POV execution to demonstrate solution performance against evaluation criteria.
• Build rapport with technical contacts and address inquiries alongside Support, identifying expansion opportunities.
