Job summary

Affirm is hiring an Analyst I on the Risk & Analytics team to learn consumer lending while applying advanced data analytics to optimize strategies and monitor portfolio performance.

You will derive insights, track health metrics, and collaborate with product, compliance, and engineering to build scalable data models and support AI-enabled tooling. This role offers a remote-first environment across the U.S., with opportunities in Colorado.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in an analytically-driven role.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, data mining, data visualization.
• Familiarity with consumer lending regulations and fairness considerations.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy across product, risk, or growth.
• Monitor portfolio health and flag risks and anomalies.
• Technical execution with SQL and Python for scalable reporting.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to model data foundations.
• Support launches and market entries with data-driven alignment.
• Integrate AI tools to accelerate data mining and routine tasks.
