Job summary

Affirm is hiring an Analyst I in a remote-first environment to learn consumer lending fundamentals while performing scoped analytical tasks. You will work under senior analysts to leverage advanced data analytics and help optimize product, risk, and growth strategies.

The role emphasizes building a solid technical foundation and applying modern AI tools to solve problems efficiently. You will derive insights, monitor portfolio health, and collaborate across product, legal, and compliance teams

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in an analytically-driven role; internships in fintech acceptable
• Degree in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages
• Familiarity with data mining, data visualization, and foundational statistical modeling
• Basic understanding of consumer lending regulations and fair lending principles
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy across product, risk, or growth geographies
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking performance, user behavior, and macro trends
• Write clean SQL and Python; partner with Engineering to deploy ML and risk models
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulations into data models
• Support launch alignment across product and markets with risk considerations
• Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to accelerate data mining and tasks
