Job summary

Affirm is hiring an Analyst I for its Risk & Analytics team. You will learn consumer lending fundamentals while performing scoped analytics tasks under senior guidance. Leverage SQL/Python to build scalable reports and support ML models, working with cross-functional partners to align risk and product strategies.

You'll contribute to portfolio monitoring, regulatory awareness, and the adoption of AI tools to improve efficiency, while growing technical foundations in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in analytically-driven roles, fintech/consumer lending valued.
• Degree in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• Solid SQL, Python skills and data-mining basics.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights to optimize product, risk, or growth strategies.
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking metrics and macro trends.
• Develop scalable reporting with SQL and Python; support ML/risk models.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance on data models and policies.
• Assist with market launches and alignment with risk appetite.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate data mining and automate routines.
