Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Director, Technology Strategy & Execution (IT PMO) to shape the portfolio and maximize strategic value. You will oversee complex IT initiatives, ensure on-time/on-budget delivery, and evolve the PMO into a strategic partner driving business investments.

This remote role requires 10+ years in IT project/program management, strong governance, and vendor management, with travel to HQ as needed. Salary range reflects national scope and market norms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT project/program management with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to evolve a PMO from execution to value-driven.
• Experience with front-end governance and shift-left processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor negotiation capabilities.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion IT PMO strategy and enterprise portfolio alignment to business value.
• Lead predictive PMO enablement with Planview and AI-driven insights.
• Mentor project managers; develop critical thinking and collaboration skills.
• Drive pre-project sizing, demand shaping, and strategic capacity planning.
• Elevate risks and dependencies; foster accountability and transparency.
• Partner with senior leaders on risk assessment and governance.
• Collaborate with procurement to maximize vendor-delivered value.
• Influence diverse stakeholders while maintaining constructive relationships.
