Cardinal Health is seeking a Director, IT PMO to shape the portfolio and maximize strategic value. This role leads a portfolio of complex IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while meeting the business case and long-term value goals.

The position requires 10–12+ years in IT project/program management, strong leadership, and the ability to elevate PMO to a strategic partner.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of IT project/program management experience, with 5+ years in people leadership.
• Proven experience scaling a PMO from execution-focused to value-driven.
• Planview experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with front-end governance or shift-left processes (pre-project sizing, demand shaping, strategic capacity).
• Strong stakeholder management and executive influence capabilities.
• Leadership in talent development and building high-performing teams.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• ChampionIT PMO strategy and enterprise portfolio alignment to drive strategic value.
• Lead adoption of Planview and AI-driven insights for proactive decision-making.
• Build a future-ready workforce through coaching and mentorship of project managers.
• Drive shift-left processes for pre-project sizing and business-case planning.
• Promote a high-trust culture, accountability, and proactive risk management.
• Assess enterprise-wide risks, dependencies, and resource constraints with senior leadership.
• Manage technology investments and vendor accountability to maximize value.
• Negotiate and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
