Cardinal Health is seeking a Director of Technology Strategy & Execution (IT PMO) to shape the portfolio, maximize strategic value, and ensure projects are on time, within scope, and on budget. You will oversee a portfolio of complex IT initiatives, partnering with executives to drive business value and strategic outcomes.

The role emphasizes proactive governance, risk management, and vendor accountability, with remote work options nationwide and travel to the HQ in Central Ohio as needed.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years in IT project/program management with leadership experience
• Ability to evolve a PMO from execution to value-driven
• Planview experience preferred
• Design and implement front-end governance and pre-project sizing

Responsibilities

• Shape IT PMO strategy and enterprise portfolio to drive strategic business value and outcomes
• Lead adoption of Planview and AI-driven insights for proactive decision-making
• Mentor and coach project managers; build a high-performing team
• Drive upstream demand shaping with pre-project estimating and business-case planning
• Foster a high-trust PMO culture, elevate risks and dependencies
• Assess enterprise risks, dependencies, and resource constraints with senior leadership
• Collaborate with procurement to manage technology investments and vendor accountability
• Drive stakeholder alignment across diverse groups while maintaining collaboration
