Cardinal Health is seeking a seasoned IT PMO leader to reshape the portfolio, drive strategic value, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The role emphasizes turning business cases into realized outcomes and partnering with senior leadership to optimize investments.

The candidate will oversee complex IT initiatives, champion predictive insights, and cultivate a high-performing, capable PMO that aligns with organizational goals while traveling to HQ as needed.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of IT project/program management experience (5+ in people leadership)
• Proven experience managing large IT programs and evolving a PMO from execution-focused to value-driven
• PMP or similar certification preferred; Planview experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Portfolio & Strategic Alignment: shape enterprise portfolio to drive strategic value
• Predictive PMO Enablement: implement Planview and AI-driven insights for proactive decisions
• Talent Leadership & Workforce Coaching: upskill and mentor project managers
• Upstream Demand Shaping: pre-project sizing, demand shaping, and strategic planning
• Empowered Truth & Accountability: foster high-trust culture, raise risks early
• Executive Risk & Resource Stewardship: assess enterprise risks and resource constraints
• Vendor Accountability & Value Management: manage technology investments with vendors
• Strategic Influence & Negotiation: align cross-functional stakeholders diplomatically
