Cardinal Health seeks a seasoned Director, Technology Strategy & Execution (IT PMO) to shape the portfolio and maximize strategic value. You will ensure projects meet business cases, stay on time and on budget, and partner with executives to drive long-term value.

The role oversees complex IT initiatives, evolving the PMO into a strategic partner with strong governance, risk management, and vendor accountability. Remote-friendly nationwide position.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of IT project/program management experience, 5+ years in people leadership preferred.
• Proven ability to evolve a PMO from execution-focused to value-driven.
• Planview experience preferred, not required.
• Experience designing front-end governance or 'shift left' processes (pre-project sizing, demand shaping, strategic capacity).

Responsibilities

• Champion IT PMO strategy and enterprise portfolio alignment to drive strategic business value.
• Lead predictive PMO enablement with Planview and AI-driven insights for proactive decisions.
• Mentor project managers; develop talent, critical thinking, relationship-building and ambiguity skills.
• Drive upstream demand shaping with pre-project planning and business-case rigor.
• Foster a high-trust PMO culture; elevate risks and dependencies proactively.
• Partner with senior leadership on enterprise risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Collaborate with vendors and procurement to maximize value and control investments.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and maintain collaborative relationships during complex changes.
