Dechert LLP seeks an IT Operations Analyst for a six‑month remote assignment. The role centers on supporting IT systems, networks, security, and client services with a focus on following procedures, patches, testing, and documentation.

The ideal candidate brings 1–2 years IT experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. This temporary position runs Monday–Friday, with standard Eastern time hours.

Qualifications

• Four years of college coursework in an IT-related field or comparable IT-based training
• One to two years of general IT experience in a team environment
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly, securely, and professionally
• Self-motivated, dependable, and highly productive
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Support IT Systems, Network, IT Security, Modern Workplace Engineering, IT Client Services, and Applications and Development teams.
• Provide Level 2 Help Desk assistance by troubleshooting client issues, resolving items when possible, and escalating as needed.
• Follow established server build and decommissioning checklists.
• Schedule and apply server patches and verify monitoring services.
• Perform production application testing after server patching and changes.
• Complete scripted monthly network and domain maintenance tasks.
• Work with IT teams to perform periodic audits (data center, camera, backup, SQL).
• Create and maintain process and quality documentation.
• Submit change requests via ServiceNow Change Management.
• Run daily health checks, update status, and escalate per script instructions.
• Complete ad hoc maintenance tasks (printer DNS changes, AD group cleanup).
• Monitor application logs and escalate issues to developers.
• Set up Cisco phones using Call Manager and Unity.
• Create shared mailboxes in Exchange Admin Center.
• Monitor network/core systems and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with user account management via Workday notifications.
