Job summary

Qual IT Resources is seeking an onsite helper desk contractor for a 6-month engagement in Chicago. The role requires US citizenship and no special technical skills beyond the ability to start a Teams meeting and share your screen to assist remote teams.

You will build shopfloor PCs using USB images, deploy machines, and support printer and application migrations. Daily end-user desktop support and compliance activities are part of the role.

Qualifications

• No specific technical skills required beyond ability to start Teams meeting and screen share.

Responsibilities

• Build shopfloor PCs using USB image (over 130 across all 3 sites).
• Participate in shopfloor planning discussions.
• Deploy shopfloor machines in accordance with the plan.
• Provide hand-and-feet support for remote teams, including connecting laptops to network devices for remote configuration, to firewall(s), and to compute switches.
• Assist with printer migration by updating print drivers on PCs and troubleshooting.
• Assist with application migration by updating PCs to connect to new applications.
• Provide day-to-day end-user desktop support, including troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and implementing standard application installations.
• Support technical PC and standard user process activities related to physical security and other compliance requirements.
