Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT Internship for college students to gain hands-on experience in HRIS and information technology. You will learn IT configuration, implementation, and support while serving as a liaison among clinical operations, IT, users, and vendors to ensure smooth systems operation.

The role is remote for residents of specified states, runs May 31, 2027–August 6, 2027, and requires up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Current enrollment as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
GPA of at least 2.5.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
Effective multitasking and prioritization.

Responsibilities

Research unusual bugs or issues encountered by the company.
Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and systems.
Assist in conversions, updates, and recovery procedures for applications and hardware.
Troubleshoot equipment such as printers, computers and servers.
Run software updates and backups as requested.
Help with call tracking and KPI reporting.
Assist with development of desktops, servers or applications.
Provide initial support troubleshooting LAN/WAN-based issues.
