Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT internship for college students in a remote, work-from-home role. The internship runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week during business days. The position is available to residents of AL, AK, AR and additional states.

The intern will learn IT functions, support applications, and liaise between clinical operations, IT, and vendors to ensure smooth system operations.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks and work in a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Proficient with Excel and basic IT concepts.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
• Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software, and systems.
• Assist analysts in improving conversions and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues (printers, PCs, servers).
• Run software updates and backups when requested.
• Help evaluate hosting options and report pricing.
