Job summary

Advocate Health is offering an IT Internship within HRIS and IT functions. The program runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with a 40-hour workweek and remote work option for eligible U.S. residents.

Interns will learn IT configuration, deployment, support and maintenance across applications, serving as a liaison among clinical operations, IT, and vendors. Strong teamwork, communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an incoming junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail with ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues encountered by IT in HRIS.
• Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and systems.
• Assist more experienced analysts with conversions, updates and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment like printers, computers and servers.
• Run software updates and backups as requested.
• Assist in developing desktops, servers or applications.
• Record interactions with customers while following Service Desk KPIs.
• Review data integrity and assist in improving current systems.
