American Red Cross is seeking an IT Category Manager to synchronize IT sourcing with business needs from a remote workforce across the United States. You will manage supplier portfolios, negotiate strategic contracts, and lead category strategies to optimize spend and risk.

Strong IT services experience and cross-functional collaboration are essential. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in procurement or IT business offices, with experience in SOWs and CLM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Management, Economics, Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 7+ years in Supply Management, Procurement, or IT Business Office roles responsible for IT supplier or category management.
• Experience overseeing IT services and IT suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of the IT marketplace, terminology and industry norms.
• Experience with IT statements of work and managed services agreements.
• Adept negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and present clearly to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with procure-to-pay and contract lifecycle tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with IT leadership to align procurement with business priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of IT suppliers, including renewals and risk management.
• Develop relationships with clients to understand procurement needs and timelines.
• Lead category strategies to control costs and ensure supply continuity.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and renewals with internal partners.
• Draft statements of work and ordering documents with stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate third-party risk in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
• Partner with CIO and IT leadership to inform business cases and spend planning.
• Engage in Supply Management processes such as SOBRA, TPRM, SAB, and Risk Council.
