Job summary

The American Red Cross in the United States is seeking a seasoned IT Category Manager to lead IT supplier strategies and manage key vendor relationships across the organization.

You will work with IT and business partners to align procurement with project needs, negotiate agreements, and drive cost savings while ensuring compliance and risk management in a remote, East Coast schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Management, Economics, CS or IS.
• 7+ years in IT procurement or supply management roles.
• Experience with IT services and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sr. Director/Director to align IT procurement with business needs.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and renewals with internal partners.
• Manage third-party risk and SOWs with internal teams.
• Lead category strategies to control costs and ensure supply continuity.
• Develop relationships with clients and suppliers to meet procurement timelines.
