Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking an IT Category Manager to lead procurement for IT services and software across a broad portfolio. You will manage supplier relationships, drive category strategies, and negotiate agreements to optimize value.

The role requires IT market fluency, risk awareness, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote setting. This position supports an East Coast schedule, and daily video presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Management, Economics, Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 7+ years in Supply Management, Procurement, or IT business office roles with IT supplier management.
• Experience overseeing IT services and suppliers; strong IT market knowledge.
• Experience with SOWs and managed services agreements.

Responsibilities

• Work with IT leadership to align IT procurement with business priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of IT suppliers, renewals, and third-party risk.
• Develop relationships with clients and influence procurement strategies.
• Lead category strategies to control costs and ensure supply continuity.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and renewals with internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate statements of work and ordering documents to add value.
• Identify and mitigate third-party risk in collaboration with GC, Risk, and IT teams.
• Support business case development, spend management, and project timelines.
