Job summary

Reed Smith LLP is seeking an IP specialist to support data management, data audits, and processing and docketing communications for patent and trademark matters. You will review, download, scan and code documents following established policies and assist with transfers of client records and matters.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with common office software. Remote work is available with periods of in‑office collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of patent prosecution experience, foreign and domestic (U.S.).

Responsibilities

• Review, process and docket incoming and outgoing communications for patent and trademark matters.
• Utilize records management software and update systems to reflect up-to-date data.
• Support IP practice group with data audit projects in Digital File, PATTSYWAVE and PracticeLink systems.
