Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Docketing Analyst for a temporary remote assignment supporting a U.S.-based law firm. You will manage trademark docket portfolios, monitor deadlines, and ensure accurate docketing of domestic and international matters.

The role focuses on USPTO correspondence, docket maintenance, and audits, with collaboration across attorneys and staff. Strong IP docketing and PATTSY experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IP docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Trademark experience is required.
• Experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters and TTAB proceedings.
• Knowledge of U.S. and international docketing requirements and deadlines.
• Experience with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant.
• Excellent proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies in docket and bibliographic data and resolve issues.
• Ability to manage high-volume, deadline-sensitive work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from the USPTO and foreign offices.
• Maintain trademark docket portfolios and ensure daily docket clearance and logs.
• Monitor and maintain domestic and international trademark deadlines and calendars.
• Ensure accurate docketing of documents and deadlines from USPTO and other sources.
• Maintain docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client and legal documents in PATTSY and upload to matter records.
• Maintain electronic files through the IP management system and iManage integration.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters per procedures.
• Respond to complex docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits, including bibliographic, PTO formality, and U.S. pair inconsistency audits.
• Assist with mass bibliographic data updates, matter intakes, and other docketing projects.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients while preserving confidentiality.
