Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Docketing Analyst for a fully remote temporary assignment supporting our U.S.-based law firm client. You will maintain trademark docket portfolios, monitor deadlines, and ensure accurate docketing of domestic and international matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' IP docketing experience focused on trademarks, with strong knowledge of U.S. and international docketing requirements and PATTSY proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Intellectual Property docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Trademark experience is required.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters and TTAB proceedings.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trademark docketing requirements and deadlines.
• Strong experience with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant to the responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from the USPTO, foreign government agencies, and foreign associates in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain assigned trademark docket portfolios and ensure daily docket clearance and accurate filing logs.
• Monitor and maintain domestic and international trademark deadlines and electronic docket calendars.
• Ensure accurate and complete docketing of documents and deadlines received from the USPTO and other domestic and international sources.
• Maintain accurate docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client and legal documents in PATTSY and upload documents and images to the appropriate matter records.
• Maintain electronic files through the firm's IP management system and iManage integration.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to complex docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits, including bibliographic, PTO formality, and U.S. pair inconsistency audits.
• Assist with mass bibliographic data updates, matter intakes, and other docketing projects.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients while maintaining confidentiality.
