Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Docketing Analyst to support our IP practice on a fully remote assignment open to any US resident. The role focuses on maintaining trademark docket portfolios, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring accurate and timely docketing of domestic and international matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IP docketing with strong TTAB experience and PATTSY proficiency, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IP docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Trademark experience is required.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters and TTAB proceedings.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trademark docketing requirements and deadlines.
• Strong experience with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant.
• Excellent proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies in docket and bibliographic data.
• Ability to manage a high volume of deadline-sensitive work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from USPTO and other offices per procedures.
• Maintain trademark docket portfolios and filing logs with daily clearance.
• Monitor domestic and international trademark deadlines and calendars.
• Ensure accurate docketing of documents and deadlines from USPTO and other sources.
• Maintain docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client documents in PATTSY and upload to matter records in iManage.
• Maintain electronic files through IP management systems and integration.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters per procedures.
• Respond to docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits, including bibliographic and formality checks.
• Assist with data updates, matter intakes, and docketing projects.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients while keeping confidentiality.
