Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, through Beacon Hill Legal, seeks a Docketing Analyst for a remote, US-based assignment supporting a law firm's Intellectual Property practice. You will maintain complex trademark docket portfolios, monitor deadlines, and ensure accurate docketing of domestic and international matters.

This temporary role requires 5+ years in IP docketing with strong trademark experience, PATTSY proficiency, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IP docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Trademark experience is required.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trademark docketing deadlines.
• Experience with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from the USPTO and foreign agencies.
• Maintain trademark docket portfolios and ensure daily docket clearance and accurate filing logs.
• Monitor and maintain domestic and international trademark deadlines and calendars.
• Ensure accurate docketing of documents and deadlines received from the USPTO and other domestic and international sources.
• Maintain accurate docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client and legal documents in PATTSY and upload documents and images to the appropriate matter records.
• Maintain electronic files through the firm's IP management system and iManage integration.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to complex docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits, including bibliographic, PTO formality, and U.S. pair inconsistency audits.
• Assist with mass bibliographic data updates, matter intakes, and other docketing projects.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients while maintaining confidentiality.
