Samsara, a leading IoT platform, seeks a Sales Engineer to help modernize essential industries using cutting-edge solutions. The role focuses on driving logistics, safety, and efficiency through IoT hardware and software, with hands-on deployment guidance and API integrations.

The position is remote for the Midwest U.S. region with up to 50% travel and a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration with product and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university.
• 2+ years of pre-sales, customer success, or support experience.
• Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
• Basic understanding of electronics.
• Experience with cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on Samsara products and IoT technology.
• Explain to prospects how Samsara solves industry challenges.
• Deliver work products to move deals forward (discovery, demos, PoCs).
• Guide installers on deployment plans.
• Write scripts against our open API and document them.
• Support deeper entrenchment through integration and upsell.
• Bridge product and sales teams with feedback.
