Samsara is seeking a Sales Engineer to help bring Connected Operations solutions to customers across the Midwest region of the United States. You will engage in logistics, fleet maintenance, asset management, and system integrations, developing a deep understanding of IoT hardware, sensors, carrier networks, and APIs to craft the right technical solution for each customer.

This remote role is open to candidates in the Midwest, with relocation not provided.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Preferred 1+ years experience working with customers in a pre-sales or support capacity.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Well-versed in one of the following: cloud software, networking, automation and control systems.
• Experience tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.

• Become an expert on Samsara products: IoT, hardware, sensors, and APIs, and explain them to customers.
• Demonstrate quick discovery to understand customer needs and respond to tech questions on calls.
• Provide technical expertise across the Samsara Sales Team and support post-sale activities.
• Understand how devices are installed and integrated for customer environments.
• Educate customers on APIs and deploy scripts to testing environments when needed.
• Collaborate with product and sales teams to relay customer feedback and beta program opportunities.
• Champion Samsara values and operational principles across global teams.
